I feel so grateful to be chosen as the winner of the competition, as looking at some of the special mentions it seems there were some fabulous interpretations of the logo! I had so much fun painting this on myself, be it quite tricky trying to do the logo backwards!
I started out by using Cameleon Airline airbrush paint to create a base and to accentuate contours. I mixed a pink to use for around the edges of the face and the chest, and also sprayed it past the hairline. I then used black to emphasise the shadows, and got out a Bad Ass Mini Stencil with a pretty lace design to add some delicate detail to the background before adding some subtle white highlights.
I then started on the logo using Cameleon Steampunk for the gold and Cotton Candy for the text and 'jewels', followed by shadows and highlight in Cameleon Strong Black and Pure White.
Once completing the full logo on the chest area, I wanted to incorporate certain elements of the logo to frame the face, without being too dominating. The central forehead design I thought fitted perfectly as if it were a princess crown! Once completing with swirls, teardrops, and other parts on the logo around the sides of the face, I then wanted to try and make the design a little bit 'edgy' as well as pretty and delicate.. So i chose the good old grungy paint splatter! A mixture of painting these on, dripping from the shadows of the logos and design parts, with ;flicking' the paint across areas of the design achieved this.
I finally finished with a few obligatory dots, and a touch of Glitter to line the Face Painting Shop Logo!
I had a lot of fun doing this, it was certainly different and a challenge!
