We are so proud to announce that we are finalists for the Thurrock Business Awards 2016.
We are in the categories of Best Small Business and Best Social Media - we are looking forward to our judges coming to meet us and showing them what we do. - Fingers Crossed.
We attended the event for the Best Business Womens Awards Lunch yesterday at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel. The event was organised by Debbie Gilbert and her team from the awards to celebrate all the winners and was a new working event too.
It was a great opportunity to see the venue where the next awards will be held later on this year and also to catch up with the winners too, and also meet some of the sponsors for this year’s event.
The food and venue was amazing and we are looking forward to entering this year’s awards, being part of The Best Business Women Awards is a total privilege, and we love everything they stand for.
Thank you to Debbie and her team for another amazing event.
To clean the board please follow these instructions as not following these may result in permanent straining or damage.
These boards have gone through stringent testing and most face paints have been tested from: Kryolan, Diamond FX, Superstar/FAB, Cameleon, Wolfe, Snazaroo, Mehron, Dips, Tag, Funky Fox, Silly Farm, Global etc. Special effects, Henna, acrylics and poster paints and make-up.
Firstly, fill a bowl with hot soapy water using a very good washing up liquid (in the UK, I recommend Fairy). Other products are not as concentrated and may not work as well.
Then use a clean cloth, such a blue J Cloth which are inexpensive.
Place washing up liquid directly onto the painted area and with your J Cloth, submerge into soap water and rinse gently. Then apply the J Cloth to the board on the painted area and lather the stained area. Remove the paint and then ensure you fold the cloth to find a clean area and wipe over again. Please ensure that you wipe away with clean areas and the board is wet. If the board is too dry you will bed the stain down into the board and this will make the harder to remove.
Should this happen, firstly try the above methods again before trying any further cleaning products.
If there is still a stain, please then use a good purpose multi cleaner such as Cif. I would then recommend a piece of dry kitchen towel/paper (again a good quality – as you are looking at the grain of the paper to work against the grain on the board and the multi-purpose cleaner).
When applied, work into the stain until it disappears and then wipe away again with soapy water and dry completely.
You can also use toothpaste which will serve as a great alternative and more eco-friendly.
Magic eraser/sponges also work well – but please apply the washing up liquid method first.
Also make-up remover can be used, brush cleaner and Silly Farm’s Brush Bath.
Please do not use BABY WIPES.
These are ok for removing small areas when making mistakes – but they are definitely not recommended for cleaning the boards.
Just the same as the face, they simply smear the paint around and on the boards can cause the stain to bed into the grain. On a child’s face can cause a reaction and there are so many different baby wipe products on the market.
Please DO NOT paint on the wrong side, as it is not recommended and if you do get a stain it will prove much harder to clean and can potentially remove part of the printed image and cause damage to the boards. Also the wrong side is smooth and the grain side and the right side is much better to paint on.
The boards clearly state the right side to paint on.
