How long have you worked at The Face Painting shop

That’s easy -Since day one

 

What’s your background? i.e. qualifications, past experience

Media Makeup, Beauty, Face Painter, Body Painter. when I left school  I was a nail technician - I actually left school with no GCSE qualifications.

 

What does your day-to-day job involve?

Everything from opening the shop, ordering stock,  packing orders, emails, social media, website duties, training, taking the rubbish out and unblocking the loo! There’s not much that I don’t do.

 

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Coming up with the greatest ideas, and knowing that our customers are happy, oh and teaching.

 

What social media platform could you not live without?

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (My new Fav), YouTube, Pintrest - all of them really

 

What are you interests outside of work?

Shopping and taking my son clay shooting, and Scuba Diving.

 

Who would play you in a film about your life?

100% Del Boy

 

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Food – mainly chocolate, crisps, peanuts, Starbucks coffee, shoes, and clothes oh and handbags - Blimey I have quite a few quilty pleasures!

 

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Business Minded - I am always on a work vibe, Honest - sometimes too honest for my own good, Loyal - Full stop :-)

Brandy and Coke, Cider, Pernod and Lemonade – not all at once or in the same glass

 

What did you do growing up that got you in trouble?

I was always in trouble – it came naturally

 

When was the last time you had an amazing meal?

Every Friday is chips and curry sauce day at the shop, nothing beats chips and curry sauce oh and a buttered roll, I am quite partial to peanut butter on toast too (yes this is my idea of an amazing meal), I also love the big Tasty burger from Macdonals

What’s your background? i.e. qualifications, past experience

Absolutely nothing to do with face painting, mainly sales

 

What does your day-to-day job involve?

Picking and packing the orders, shipping them all over the world and keeping the accounts

 

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Getting things right – keeping the customers happy!

 

What social media platform could you not live without?

Facebook - I cant get my head around Twitter

 

What are you interests outside of work?

Horses – Carriage driving, I spend 99% of my time outside of work with my horse - Harry.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Patient, Shy and horsey (thats more of I love my horse than I look like one)

Ellie Roberts - Business Adminnistrator

How long have you worked at The Face Painting shop?

Almost 3 years... how time flies.

 

What’s your background? i.e. qualifications, past experience

I don't have any paint related qualifications other than a failed first year of college.

But I did get A's in almost all of my GCSE's, and I've completed a qualification in business administration, I also won apprentice of the year in 2018 so I guess that counts.

What does your day-to-day job involve?

Dealing with customer queries, ordering stock, being Nickys Moving Canvas and general re-stocking. Oh and I'm cheif organiser.

What’s your favourite part of the job

Our relaxed friendly atmosphere, I really think this helps things to run smoothly and keep customers happy

What social media platform could you not live without?

YouTube, I often find myself watching videos with abosolutely no relevance to me what so ever.

What are you interests outside of work?

Drawing, and I love to start new crafty projects. I've always been creative.

Who would play you in a film about your life?

If Jack Whitehall was a female, it would definately be him.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Crisps, I think my addiction may need medical attention.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Hard-working, hungry and reliable.

Honestly, I'll drink almost anything that is put infront of me. My favourite is Violet Gin and Lemonade

 

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up? 

Marley and Me gets me every time.

At what age did you become an adult?

I haven't reached 20 yet, so i'm sure I don't have to panic.

IT, Web design / development and part time crime fighter,

What does your day-to-day job involve?

Creating the internet, one line of code at a time!,

 

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Getting to work with The Face Painting Shop of course!

What social media platform could you not live without?

MySpace? (is that still a thing) maybe Facebook, it’s not so fun when you work with it

What are you interests outside of work?

Koala's ninjas and Jagermiester.. not always in the order

Who would play you in a film about your life?

James Corden? would probably fit the role and costume best and he has already done the rehearsal as "Smiffy"

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Watching documentary's on almost any subject, in fact the more obscure the better

JUST PLAIN AWESOME

At what age did you become an adult?

I am still practicing, not sure I can afford the full membership fees or level of commitment

I'm too tough and manly for that sort of thing! and  no .. I don't want to watch Marley & me (AGAIN)

 

What was one of the best parties you’ve ever been to?

I am not sure I can allow the sort of detail on the internet (apparently anyone can read this stuff)

I would love to fix or teach or designers to use the correct software to design so that clients would not have to have work redone or buy twice.

How long have you worked at The Face Painting shop?

I joined the team in March 2016, having already worked on the first issues of Dupe Magazine as the reviews columnist!.

What’s your background?

I’m fully qualified as a mother of 2 crazy children/possible aliens, whose imaginations fuel my inspiration engines! My face painting is mostly self taught, with a smattering of online video tutorials, of which I now produce.
 

What does your day-to-day job involve?

I get to use ALL kinds of colourful products to produce our unique, short video tutorials! First I plan out a design I’m going to paint, then I film the whole process. Afterwards, I take it to my professional editing software on the computer and apply a little magic! The editing process can take several hours including upload times, all for a length of around 2mins max for the greatest convenience of our viewers.Then I have the fun task of cleaning my boards, brushes and paints, ready for the next one! In order to make sure the tutorials are seen by as many people as possible, I will later share the link across social media.

 

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Being chased around by glitter constantly afterwards

 

What social media platform could you not live without?

Facebook

 

What are your interests outside of work?

I am a singing, Garden Gnome enthusiast who enjoys flying on the back of dragons when I get a minute to spare.

Ha! The best AND worst gift I’ve ever received was from my Son one Christmas. He bought me a photo frame with the name ‘Matthew on it from his school fair!! It’s the thought that counts lol…I suppose I will have to get a Garden Gnome named Matthew next and put his photo in it!

 

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

A pair of PINK Converse with Silver inners. I wore them until they were threadbare - loved them!

Every time I do a live broadcast! Shhh though! That’s a secret

Adult? I’ve heard of those..

 

The best part of waking up is?

I don't get emotional at movies, more likely to have a laughing fit at the most inappropriate places, but Watership Down gets me every time. 

Is a picture worth a thousand words?

Yeah, describing an awesome face or body paint would be completely pointless.

At what age did you become an adult?

Still waiting

 

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Parachute jump (the 4th one). It took a few goes for my brain to realise that I really did not want to throw myself out of an aeroplane.

Erm ………. Well I know I’m an adult, because of the wrinkles

Did you know that An Apple, Potato and a Onion all taste the same if you eat with your nose plugged ……. Although I’m saying this , I have never tried it and never will.
